The State of the City Address is a message from Mayor Tray Payne to Lubbock citizens and business partners. In this annual presentation, the Mayor will discuss the current issues facing our beloved city, offer his strategies for dealing with challenges, and provide current city data on infrastructure and economic development. The information presented allows business leaders and residents to make informed decisions for positive economic growth.

 A portion of the proceeds from this event benefits a charity partner chosen by the Mayor. Over the past 40 years, $300,000 in event proceeds have been donated to charities of the Mayor's choice. This year Lubbock Meals on Wheels will be the beneficiary of the 2023 State of the City Address.
